One of my friends invited me to go and have some fun with her and some old classmates to this Mary Kay thing. I thought, "yeah why not I haven't seen this friend in a while." You do the entire facial yourself while listening to this sales pitch for almost 3 hours....

They have to make you do facial yourself because you need a esthetics or cosmetology license to perform a facial on someone. Just another example of how you'd be better off just purchasing your own makeup and leaving the misled and desperate salespeople out of it.

I was sucked into Mary Kay a couple of years ago by their promises of riches and never needing to worry about money again. My girlfriend - rainbow vacuums, another tried educational toys for children, the list of friends and MLM businesses is long. Some have tried:...

So, you're saying, people who have been in the company longer make more money than someone who has just started? And as a new Mary Kay consultant it's hard to just make money without trying?

Hmmmm. Sounds a lot like every other job.

I was reached out to by a Mary Kay consultant on Facebook. She wanted me to model some of the makeup, but refused to give me any specifica until giving her my phone number. I ended up deciding to not participate due to my parents wishes. The consultant then began to...

I didn't see the second complaint (with a different town used) but if someone is harassing you on facebook, you tell them to stop. If they don't stop, then you report them to facebook.

If it spills over into your actual life, then you take it a step further, i.e. report to authorities or this person workplace (in this case, May Kay HQ).

As a Mary Kay Consultant, I have done a lot of research. I have read the wonderful and horror stories of this business. I don't provide "free facials" I provide "free consultations" and skin care classes or parties. I do use disposable applicators to maintain...

It is not just a "free facial". I was just finished cosmetology school when I met a Mary Kay lady.

I was asked to be a model for a facial and make over. So could you imagine my excitement because I just learned all this great stuff in school and a professional was going to do a makeover on me. It was not what k expected at all. It is false advertising I was very disappointed.

People are getting lied to. That's not ok.

When I did become a consultant I felt like the biggest liar every time I used the word facial because it's not accurate. Mary Kay teaches you to lie and make it sound nice.

I had a representative come to my place a few months ago to demonstrate the "TimeWise" skin care and other facial products which I liked on the spot so I bought for quite a big amount (above $300). For a week or two my skin seemed to be taking it well but then all of a...
