Mary Kay "Free Skincare Session" is Misleading!
I got a couple of texts a few days ago informing me that I had won a drawing for a free skincare session worth up to $200 for myself and up to 5 friends because one of my friends had recently gone to a session and entered my name and number into the drawing (no thanks to this "friend"). It sounded too good to be true so I was a little wary and did some research to see if it was legit. I found a Yelp page (but no reviews) and a FB page that had some customer reviews but not many photos or descriptions of what they do. Their business claims to be a "spa" and skincare and cosmetics but it's really just a scheme to bait-and-enroll people into Mary Kay. Then, at the skincare session, they basically try to sell you their products and try to get you to become a Mary Kay rep yourself by telling you all these stories about how their company is so good to them and reward them with cars and jewelry and vacations. Blah, blah, blah.
I am so sorry I dragged 5 other people with me. I thought we were going to get a total spa/ facial experience. Instead, we were driven to boredom and eye-rolling. We were exhausted by their non-stop talking and ***, they did not even offer us any refreshments. If you're going to make people sit there for 3 hours to listen to your high horse BS, you could at least give them some water.
Anyway, that's all I have to say about my local Mary Kay. The girls were nice, but I do wish they were honest from the beginning instead of trying to fib their way through this skincare session "worth $200."
Reason of review: Pricing issue.
